This bracket reflects the new
76-team format: 12 Opening Round games (24 teams) feed into the 64-team bracket. The lowest 12 at-large teams play for the last at-large seed lines, and the lowest 12 automatic qualifiers play for the No. 15 and No. 16 seeds. Opening Round games are marked
OR in the bracket and listed in full below it.
Please note: this bracket projection is completely created by a computer, and sometimes it does computer things! Recreating the nuance that a selection committee has is not an easy task, and you may find it walking away from where the human bracketologists are coalescing. Like most algorithms, it should get better as the season progresses, so if you don't like how it looks in December, be patient!
